Meet Kevin, the first goat to ever grace the cover of Invitation Oxford.

Name: Kevin

Owner: Sonny Shuffield

Breed: Nigerian Dwarf Goat

Age: 6 months

About Kevin: Kevin lives with 3-year-old Sonny’s grandparents, Christy and Bart Glass (known as “Lulu” and “Hoppa” to Sonny). He was a Valentine’s Day gift from them along with great grandmother Glenda Drewrey, or “Jean Jean.” Christy describes Kevin as very spoiled and super friendly. “He’s a sweetie,” she said.

“Sibilings”: Another goat named Rocket, along with five dogs and two cats.

Fun Facts: Kevin thinks he’s a dog. He was raised on the bottle. He has visited school with Sonny, plays in the yard with him, runs along right behind him and sits on the porch with him. Kevin started to gain some celebrity when he won third place in this year’s Double Decker Arts Festival pet contest.

More about goat life: Kevin stays in a fenced in area in the backyard and has a big doghouse for shelter. He drinks from a baby bottle that’s filled with a powdered goat milk purchased from a tractor supply store. He eats pellets along with leaves and alfalfa hay, which Kevin much prefers to munching on grass.
